Galahad-Castaneda off, Harper Gets new Opponent, undercard fighters added to Wood-Conlan March 12

Former WBC and IBO Super Featherweight Champion Terri Harper (11-1) was meant to face American Heather Hardy (22-2) for the vacant WBA Intercontinental title on her lightweight debut on March 12 on the Wood-Conlan undercard at the Nottingham Arena Live on DAZN but due to a Wrist injury sustained by Hardy, she is out of the scheduled contest.

Instead, Harper will face another fighter: Top 15 Lightweight and WBA world-ranked Argentina's Yamila Belen Abellaneda (13-4-1) for the WBA Intercontinental title. Although Abellaneda is coming on a week's notice, she is a fighter in her prime and not 40 years old like Hardy so theoretically could be a tougher fight but definitely does not have the name recognition of Hardy.

Per Source, Former IBF Featherweight champion Kid Galahad (28-2) sustained an injury in training camp and will no longer be fit to face America's Jorge Castaneda (15-1) on that date. Instead, Matchroom Boxing is looking to reschedule that fight for April/May either in the UK or possibly in the United States.

Additionally, Matchroom has added Tony Bellew managed Liverpudlian Light Heavyweight prospect Thomas Whittaker Hart (5-0) to the undercard. Hart coming off a career-best win over Jermaine Springer (7-1) has not boxed in 15 months.

Furthermore, Dillian Whyte managed Heavyweight Thomas Carty and debutant Nico Leivars will feature on the card. Caohmin Agyarko still does not have a confirmed opponent at the time of writing this.
